Upgrading to WordPress 2.7

In the past couple of months, I’ve been upgrading a lot of my clients to WordPress 2.7, which so far is proving to be an excellent iteration of WordPress. Unlike the release of 2.5, which was plagued by a number of problems that frustrated the users, 2.7 was better out of the box. Now that 2.7.1 is out, we got to try out the built-in upgrader, which I have yet to have any problems with. Keep up the good work, WordPress team!

Also in WordPress news, I’ve finished writing all chapters for the WordPress Complete 2.7+ book, and am now fielding (mostly pretty minor) edits from the publisher. I’m not sure what the release date is yet, but I’ll update this post when I know.
