The Department of Genetics at Rutgers University has a large faculty each of whom needs a website where they can publish their research, current lab activities, and contact information. They wanted to be able to give each faculty member a website without the cost of paying for each individual website development project.
Springthistle built them a multi-user CMS using Cake. Administrative users can create faculty users. Faculty can log in, using the same University-system-wide login they use for their other activities, and manage their websites by doing the following things:
- add, edit, and re-order pages
- upload and manage images and other files
- change theme and website colors and fonts
- choose among rollover menus
- submit feedback easily from within the system
- and more
