April Hodge Silver began working under the company name Springthistle Design in 1998 with her first website client (an art center franchise in upstate New York. For 5 years, April worked fulltime jobs at Doubleclick, About.com, Coolfire Interactive, and CT Corp while doing her Springthistle Design work on the site. In 2004, April decided to become a full-time self-employed website developer. She incorporated as Springthistle Design LLC in March of that year and hasn’t looked back since.
Most of Springthistle’s clients choose the company after hearing about April’s work from existing and earlier clients; Springthistle does no advertising at all. Everything is word-of-mouth, which works well since all of Springthistle’s clients are more than satisfied with the process of working with Springthistle and with the final results on their websites. When not designing, coding, installing WordPress, writing about WordPress, or talking to clients, April enjoys cooking, reading fiction, walking the dog, corrupting the mind of her two-year-old, creating fine art and cleaning the house. Learn more via the links at the right.
